A Journey From Darkness to Light: Our Story of Service in Barsana.
Barsana—a name synonymous with spiritual beauty and divine love. But in 1991, a team of doctors from Bhaktivedanta Hospital saw a different reality during their pilgrimage to this holy town. They saw the quiet suffering of thousands of residents struggling with preventable blindness, primarily due to untreated cataracts.
This video chronicles that transformative journey—the birth of the “Let Them See” initiative.
A Mission Born of Compassion As H.H. Radhanath Swami explains in the video, untreated cataracts are a primary cause of blindness in India’s small towns and villages. For many Brajwasis, the cost and lack of access to quality eye care meant a life of darkness.
Deeply moved, our founders decided they couldn’t just walk away. With the support of the local community, they organized the first of many eye camps. What started as a small, heartfelt response has grown into a lifelong commitment to the people of Braj.
Excellence in Every Act of Service The video highlights our unwavering commitment to quality. From the initial screening to the surgical table and post-operative care, every step is planned with meticulous care. We believe that every patient is a soul deserving of the highest standard of medical treatment and compassionate care.
Your Part in the Miracle The “Let Them See” initiative is a collective effort. Every surgery we perform, every life we touch, is made possible by your generosity. As the video concludes with an appeal to join hands, we invite you to be part of this continuing story.
A simple donation of ₹5,000 can restore someone’s sight, giving them back their independence and the ability to behold the beauty of their beloved Barsana once more.
